Add a business
Open your profile menu, tap Business profile, then + Add business. Give it a name and save. There is no limit on how many you can add, and one subscription covers all of them. You always need at least one, so the app will not let you remove the last business.
Pick a default business
Under Business profile → Default business (also in Settings → Preferences → Default business) choose which business new things are assigned to unless you say otherwise. When you tag a bank account as Business and you have more than one business, the account also gets its own default business for this account.
What stays separate
- Transactions. Every business transaction belongs to one business. You can change it on the transaction, and categorization rules can set it automatically.
- Deductions and reports. The Deductions screen has All businesses plus one pill per business. Reports and every downloaded report include per-business totals when you have more than one.
- Invoices, quotes, bills and payment setup. Each is tied to a business, and Stripe payment setup is done one business at a time.
- Books. Each business has its own chart of accounts and statements.
What is shared
Mileage is tracked at the account level, not per business, so the mileage deduction shows as (all businesses) when you filter. Budgets are Personal or Business, not per business. Your tax estimate combines all businesses because it is one return.
