Scan and attach receipts

Snap a receipt and RevvFi reads the merchant, amount, date and line items, then matches it to the bank transaction. What it does and does not extract, the matching rules, and the limits.

Scanning

Open Scan in the app and choose Take a photo, Upload photo, Upload PDF, or Manual entry. On the web, the Transactions page has Scan receipt, which accepts JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP and PDF. Files up to 10 MB. There is no limit on how many receipts you scan.

What RevvFi reads

AI (Claude) extracts the merchant, amount, date and the line items. Line items are added to My Items, where RevvFi can look for cheaper replacements. The scanner does not choose a category; the category comes from the matched bank transaction or from the automatic categorizer once the receipt is saved.

Matching to a bank transaction

A receipt attached to a pending bank transaction stays attached when it posts.

Prior-year receipts are not acceptedRevvFi only reconciles receipts for the current tax year. A receipt dated last year is refused with This receipt is from a prior tax year. Add that expense as a manual transaction instead if it is not already in your bank history.

Finding a receipt later

Receipts live on their transactions. Search on the Transactions screen covers vendor, items, category, notes, account and amount. Open the transaction to see the image. Connected AI assistants can search receipt details through Agent Connect but never receive the images.

Receipts in exports

The Deductions PDF offers Include receipts, which adds a page listing a link to each receipt image for verification. Receipt images are not bundled into a ZIP.
